An alliance to accelerate research and solutions
A narrative shift and marketing vehicle, driving public demand for maternal care and celebrating motherhood in movement
A network for value-aligned businesses and professionals across the industry
For consumers and athletes: a directory of brands that have pledged to invest in the future of maternal care
The MISC Pledge
We believe in a future where sport celebrates, supports, and uplifts motherhood. Together, we aim to build a world where all women can participate fully and without penalty.
We recognize that the barriers facing mothers in sport are not natural or inevitable. They are systemic–and we each have a role to play in breaking them down through education, amplification, and systems change.
As members, we commit to:
Amplify stories that celebrate motherhood and challenge outdated ideas of who belongs in sport.
Build community within MISC and across the sports industry to share knowledge, tools, and support.
Create solutions that embed maternal equity into the infrastructure of sport, alongside those most impacted.
The Mother in Sport Collective Timeline
Year 0 (2025)
• Conduct preliminary research on maternal care standards for fertility, perinatal, postpartum, childcare, and contract protections
• Develop industry relationships
• Craft MISC Member Pledge
• With 2025 For All Mothers+ research, draft the first Maternal Equity Playbook with standards in fertility, perinatal, postpartum, childcare, and contract protections
Year 1 (2026)
• Welcome Founding Members
• Develop MISC announcement campaign: share key research and athlete stories, establish MISC presence and credibility
• Circulate draft of Maternal Equity Playbook through the MISC network to garner insights, pilot, and refine into version 2
• Continue partner recruitment and Maternal Equity Playbook refinement
Year 2 (2027)
• Continue partner recruitment and Maternal Equity Playbook refinement
• Coordinated narrative-shift efforts
• Host first Meeting of Minds (MOM conference)
Year 3 (2028)
• Paybooks implemented across select Olympic and Paralympic Sports
• Harness public media attention to amplify coordinated narrative-shift efforts and celebrate wins
• MOM Party at the LA28 Games House with MISC Awards, mother-athletes, and stakeholders
